Rapid failure of batteries (destruction of plates)

1. Long-term overcharging due to mains voltage above 29 V. 2. Increased electrolyte density Note. During operation, it is prohibited to add electrolyte unless it is known for certain that the decrease in the electrolyte level occurred as a result of the electrolyte being poured out of the battery. 3. Mechanical destruction due to impacts 4. Electrolyte freezing. In this case, the plates warp and the active mass of the plates crumbles. To prevent the electrolyte from freezing, do not discharge the batteries by more than 25%. If the ambient temperature is below minus 25°C and there are breaks in tractor operation for more than 24 hours, remove the batteries from it and store in a room with a temperature not higher than 0°C and not lower than minus 20°C. The same must be done if the air temperature drops below minus 30°C and the break in tractor operation reaches 10 hours 5. Prolonged activation of the starter. When the starter is turned on for a long time (over 20 s), a longitudinal deflection of the plates occurs up to 4 mm. As a result, the active mass of the plates intensively crumbles. The duration of the starter activation should not exceed 20 seconds, and the break between attempts to start the engine should be at least one minute. After three attempts, stop turning on the starter. Troubleshoot the system

1. Replace the battery 2. Bring the electrolyte density to normal 3. Securely secure the batteries in the battery compartment 4. Replace faulty batteries 5. Replace faulty batteries
